AGE

  • Drivers must be at least 21 years old.
  • The original driver’s license must be shown at the time of delivery of the vehicle, it must be valid throughout the trip. The condition applies to foreign customers too.

PAYMENT AND DEPOSIT:

  • The total amount of the trip will be paid by credit card when making the reservation. Some cases PayPal payments are accepted.
  • When making the reservation, a deposit of $250 is charged, it will be fully refunded if the vehicle is in optimal conditions at the time of delivery and there are no additional charges such as missing gas, fines or late check out.
  • All prices are indicated in United States dollars (USD).

You could use your personal insurance if you submit evidence of your policy.

FUEL:

  • Fuel tank will be full at the time of delivery of the vehicle and must be returned
    in the same way. A fine of $15 plus the cost of fuel will be applied if the fuel tank is not full at the time of check out.
    The amount will be deducted from the security deposit.

TOWING:

  • You are responsible for abiding by traffic laws. Vive Rent a Car is exempt from all responsibility for the towing of the vehicle,
    the client assumes any monetary responsibility, as well as damages related to the towing.

ACCIDENT

  • In the event of a serious accident, call 911 for immediate assistance.
  • After any type of incident, contact us as soon as possible, no later than 1 hour for instructions and assistance.
  • In the event of an accident, you should keep all related documentation in case you file an insurance claim. If you do not act like this, Vive Rent a Car may apply charges
    for damage to the vehicle.
  • Take into account that, if an accident occurs due to negligence or any other circumstance excluded from the insurance coverage of the insurer, you will be responsible for the coverage of all corresponding damages before Vive Rent a Car.
    For standard problems (flat tires, dead batteries, lockups), assistance to
    Vive Rent a Car’s highway can get the vehicle back on the road quickly.
    If more complex repairs are necessary, if available, a vehicle change will be made, otherwise we will reimburse the rental cost for that day.

RESTRICTIONS:

  • All drivers must abide by traffic laws, as well as any highway
    codes.
  • The only person authorized to drive the vehicle is the main driver, unless additional drivers with their full names (as they appear on their driver’s licenses) are informed and specified.
  • Speed limits must be always respected.
  • The driver is responsible for any infrac;ons received during the rental period. For any violations issued during the rental period that have not been paid, you will be required to pay the fees charged in addition to a $25 administrative fee.
  • Driving in a restricted area may cause damage to the vehicle. You are responsible for damage to the vehicle resulting from misuse of the vehicle.
  • The consumption of alcohol, cigaretes, tobacco, cannabis, and other drugs while driving the vehicle is prohibited.
  • A cleaning fee of $150 will apply and will be deducted from the security deposit if there is evidence of smoking in the vehicle.

OTHERS

  • You will receive a washed, vacuumed and disinfected vehicle. The cleaning fee does not cover upholstery cleaning, spills, stains, pet hair, or smoke removal. An
    amount of $40 will be debited in case the vehicle needs a special cleaning.
  • The client understands that delays in returning the vehicle can cause
    major problems for the renter and possible financial loss in case there is not enough time to clean and prepare the vehicle for the next client, who will arrive
    a few hours later. For this reason, each hour the customer is late at the place and time of return will be billed at the rate of $25/hour, said charges will be deducted from the security deposit.

CANCELLATION POLICIES:

  • Full refund of the reservation amount if canceled 48 hours before the pick-up
    date.
  • 50% refund if canceled less than 48 hours before the pick-up date.
  • No refund applies in case of no-show or cancellation on the day of collection.
